I've reproduced this behaviour with 6.0 and 8.1 VMs. However, I'm not able to reproduce it in codenvy project.

When I go to search page or use the suggest search box and use special characters everything goes as expected.

When in the suggest search box I use a word with the Spanish accent (e.g. notificación) and press enter, I'm redirected to the search page but the accent has been replaced with other characters (see attached image).

I'm not sure where to look for the solution since It seems browser related (only IE) but It works correctly with codenvy.

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
