How do I fix 'The requested resource (/nuxeo) is not available."

I have a Nuxeo EP 5.1 running on CentOS 5.4. It has been running fine until today when one of my users reported they could not get to the website. I am getting HTTP 404 the requested resource (/nuxeo) is not available.

Could you give more details?
Is it Nuxeo 5.1.6?
Did you look at the server logs if there's an issue?

Note Nuxeo 5.1 is three years old, did you think about upgrading?

I had this thrown at me. I really don't know enough about Nuxeo to really answer questions intelligently. I don't even know where the server logs are.

HTTP 404 error is “not found”.
You have to check if the Nuxeo server is still running (maybe the server was shutdown?). Is it locally accessible (may be the issue is in the HTTP configuration, no point with Nuxeo)? If so, then you have to look for “ERROR” messages in the server logs.

Are you the Nuxeo administrator? You need access on the server. Also, knowing the precise Nuxeo version may be useful. By default, the log directory was there: $JBOSS/server/default/log/.
FYI, here is the old Nuxeo 5.1 administration guide (also available as single HTML page and PDF) and the new documentation (for Nuxeo >5.3).

Is there anywhere I can upload an error log?

Please use a public paste service like http://pastebin.com/

I found the problem, the system changed ownership of a file and was preventing jboss from opening the home page.
