Notification problem with public IP

I changed the IP of my nuxeo (nuxeo DM 5.5 with postgres 9.0) to a public one and now the notification system does not work: it does not seem even to contact the smtp server… any idea?

Can you ping your smtp server from your server ?

Can you give us errors you have in your logs in your question. You just have to modify the question.

I can ping my smtp server from my server. No visible error in nuxeo log… I have no access to smtp server log.

Did you solve your issue? Or did you find more information (DEBUG logs, generated Mail configuration, …)?
